Zero Tolerance Zone: Say NO to Ragging

Our institution maintains a Strict Zero-Tolerance Policy towards ragging. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and friendly environment for all students, especially newcomers. Ragging is a criminal offense as per the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations.

What is Ragging?

Ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts:

Any conduct by any student whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating, or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
Indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm.
Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, torment, or embarrassment.

Punishments for Ragging

Abetting or participating in ragging can lead to:

Expulsion from the college.
Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
Fine up to ₹2,50,000.
Cancellation of admission.
Rigorous Imprisonment (as per law).
