Equal Opportunity Cell
Celebrating Diversity, Ensuring Equality
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at our institution is dedicated to building an inclusive campus environment where every student, regardless of their background, has an equal chance to succeed. Our primary objective is to eliminate barriers and ensure that students from marginalized or disadvantaged groups—including SC, ST, OBC, Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD)—receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
Our Vision & Mission
Inclusivity: To create an atmosphere of respect and dignity for all individuals, fostering a spirit of harmony.
Accessibility: To ensure that the physical and digital infrastructure of the college is accessible to students with disabilities.
Empowerment: To provide guidance, counseling, and specialized training to bridge the gap between different socio-economic groups.
Awareness: To sensitize the student body and faculty toward the challenges faced by diverse groups and promote social justice.
Key Initiatives & Functions
The EOC acts as a catalyst for growth through various targeted programs:
Remedial Coaching: Organizing special classes for students who need additional academic support in core subjects.
Scholarship Assistance: Guiding students through the application processes for State, Central, and Private scholarships (Post-Metric, Merit-cum-Means, etc.).
Skill Development: Conducting workshops on communication skills, digital literacy, and employability to ensure a level playing field during placements.
Disability Support: Overseeing the maintenance of ramps, accessible restrooms, and providing assistance such as scribes or assistive technology for examinations.
Grievance Redressal: Serving as a dedicated desk to address any complaints regarding discrimination or exclusion on campus.
